Artwork Guidelines

We are here to help every step of the way. We understand when placing an order for shirts, hats and other things that you don’t always know exactly what you want on them. You may only have a phrase or a screenshot of an image, or want to change something about your current logo. Our talented designers can help take your logo, sketch, scribble or note and turn it into a custom design. Our team has designed t-shirts for countless businesses, unions and other organizations.

A great thing to know about doing artwork at Shirt.Co is that it is FREE! Fees may be applied if art needs to be redrawn, or the proofs have to be revised more than 2 times

When submitting artwork we do prefer to have vector artwork instead of raster images, but we do understand that not everyone has these type of files or they may not know what that means. We know that customers will not always have High Resolution artwork. We can review the artwork before before the order is placed.

What is the difference between VECTOR and RASTER?

Vector
This type of artwork is usually made of sharp and clean edges. Most of the time we are able to open these in nearly all design programs. This makes it easier to edit the file and allows for it to be enlarged or shrunk down with minimal problems. They are usually smaller file sizes as well, which makes it simpler to email.

File types:

  • .ai (Adobe Illustrator)
  • .eps
  • .svg
  • .pdf (sometimes)
  • .cdr (Corel Draw)

Raster
Usually when you have a raster image it is a regular picture. If you can zoom in on the image and see pixels it is most likely raster. There is nothing wrong with it being a raster image, just prepare for more time working on the art and possibly an art fee.

File types:

  • .psd (Photoshop)
  • .jpg
  • .png
  • .pdf (sometimes)

If a certain font is requested to be used, we ask that the name of the font or the downloadable file (.ttf, .otf) of the font be provided.
